"Pro-Crianca Cardíaca" Project

We keep up a partnership with "Pro-Criança Cardíaca", an institution that serves needy children and youngsters, from 0 to 18, with cardiac problems. Founded and run by Dr. Rosa Celia, since 1996, the Project has now given over 7,000 consultations and nearly 800 surgical procedures. The beneficiaries can also receive donations of "basic baskets" of foodstuffs, medication and dental treatment.

Since we became partners of Pro-Criança, in 1999, we have played a significant role in the project, offering the following support:

• Financing one child heart surgery per month;
• Maintenance of the dental consultations;
• Setting up and funding stands to promote the project in the medical congresses that we organize;
• Donations of clothes, food and toys;
• Construction and sponsorship of an amphitheater;
• Amil volunteers help as consultants in the management process.

We also buy books and set up a space called "Reader's Corner", where the kids and youngsters find an inviting environment for reading.
