The "Vida" (Life) Project was set up with the aim of encouraging voluntary actions among our staff. We kicked off the project with a large blood-donation campaign, which gathered material for the Hemorio blood bank. One of the leading initiatives of the Vida Project is the "You Donate, Amil Multiplies" campaign, in which employees donate non-perishable foodstuffs, toys and clothing and, at the end of the donation, the company doubles the quantity and passes this on to institutions caring for children and the elderly. Since its launch, the campaign has already helped 71 institutions in Rio and São Paulo, plus 65 needy families recommended by our employees. Another point that sets the project apart is that allows the Amil professionals to send the address, names and number of members of the needy families; - closeby or acquaitances, which we also complement. So far, 38.5 tons of non-perishable foodstuffs have been raised.
